To Fellow Alpaca Breeders
The Committee of the Sydney, Coast and Highlands Region have pleasure in inviting you to enter your alpaca fleeces in the Charles Ledger Fleece Show to be held on January 23, 2006.
This revamped fleece show will take the place of three of our regional fleece shows which were previously held in September (Charles Ledger Fleece Show), February (Berry Fleece Show) and March (Robertson Fleece Show) of each year, and will have prize money to the value of $1,700.00.
Consideration was given to the testing of fleeces and providing a histogram of the results. After diligent consideration, the committee have decided not to proceed with the testing of fleeces due to the increased handling of your fleeces by having to take a grid sample, therefore increasing the risk of damage to your fleece.
To minimise the handling of your fleece we request you forward the fleece to us in a 'GLAD TUFF STUFF DRAWSTRING BAG - 70cm x 80cm Extra Wide to fit 56litre Bins', inside your normal fleece bag, so that prior to judging, it can be weighed and handled while still in this plastic Glad Bag.
You will need these forms and information for you to lodge an entry:

It would be appreciated if you would complete and attach the Fleece ID Form to the outside of your fleece bag so as to assist the Fleece Stewards in identification of your fleece.
Do not forget to include arrangements/postage for the return of your fleece following the conclusion of the show.
